Juniors
For 2016
Southern Table Tennis will run a junior coaching program on Tuesday nights during all school terms from 7.00 pm to 8.30 pm for the year 2016. We will also be running junior team based competitions in Terms 2 and 4 which will run alongside the coaching program on Tuesday nights. There will also be one off competitions against other clubs and we will be encouraging players to enter tournaments run by other clubs. Junior players are also welcome to participate in any other activities conducted by Southern Table Tennis.
The Junior Coaching Program
The junior coaching program is held on Tuesday nights during all school terms and takes place between 7.00 pm and 8.30 pm at our 11 table stadium which is on States Rd, MORPHETT VALE. These sessions are a fun introduction to table tennis using a combination of free play, coaching and assorted games. They are suitable for children 9 years and older of all standards. We offer one come and try session for free and if a child wishes to keep on playing we charge a onetime $30 administration and the child then receives their own bat. The cost is then $5 per session and you may use the primary school voucher system to pay for a complete term.
Junior Team Competition Term 2 and 4
We will be running two junior competitions this year, one in term 2 and another in term 4. The competitions will take place on Tuesday nights between 7.00 pm and about 8.30 pm and requires players to register as individuals. We will then form teams of equal ability from the nominations received. Players will get to play at least 2 singles and 1 doubles match each night. All matches are played at Southern Table Tennis and the competition is suitable for players of all abilities. The cost is $50 for the term for players who have previously paid the administration fee. Primary school children may use the school voucher system to pay for the competition. School holiday coaching program
During the school holiday breaks a junior coaching program is held at our stadium. They are conducted each Tuesday and Friday during the breaks from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm. Cost is $5 per session. All children aged between 9 to 18 years are welcome to attend. Please ring Alvan WHITE on 8326 1214 for further information and to advise if you wish to take part. The dates for the January 2016 holidays are Tuesday 12th, Friday 15th, Tuesday 19th and Friday 22nd.
